You will see three frames; the top frame contains a menu of links to open files in the left and right frames. The link or links on the left in the top frame will open files in the left frame; those on the right, files in the right frame. When you are finished be certain to click on the "Close Frames" link to exit properly from the frames. The files used for comparison are specifically marked up for this purpose.
